Tokyo, Honestly is a one-person publication. I keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site, and I never sell your data.

Analytics

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first: it sets no cookies and doesn't fingerprint you or track you across sites. It only reports aggregate numbers — page views, referrers, countries — so I can see which pieces land.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, your email is stored and handled by beehiiv (my newsletter provider) for the sole purpose of sending you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from any issue, any time.

Affiliate links

Some posts contain affiliate links. When you click one, the destination (for example Klook via Travelpayouts, or Amazon) may set its own cookies to credit the referral. That happens on their site, under their privacy policies. See my affiliate disclosure for details.

Third parties

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages; the newsletter runs on beehiiv; affiliate links route through partners such as Travelpayouts and Amazon. Each has its own privacy policy.
